The paradise of hikers

These gentles volcanic slopes are a geological complex that is almost unique, and here several animal and vegetable species have found their perfect habitat: we are talking about the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills ( Today between the green hills, the dense broad-lived woods and the vineyards there is a wide network of paths with 16 hiking courses recommended. The differences in heights are never excessive and the paths conduct to locations of enchanting beauty and full of history such as the house of the poet in Arquà Petrarca or the ancient monasteries as the Abbey of Praglia. For bicycle lovers there is a bicycle path-the Anello dei Colli (Colli’s Ring)- 64 km long that twists and turns between uncontaminated nature and charming places (the Anello dei Colli is connected to the ring of walled cities and to the Road of salt and sugar).

An exciting trip, perhaps the most beautiful in the whole Venetian central plain, where you can discover uniques country’s glimpses passing through the ancient medieval villages of Este and Monselice, through the vineyards of Bastia di Rovolon and Vo’, breathing religious atmosphere of the ancient monasteries, walking along the river bank of the Battaglia Terme’s flow, crossing the thermal cities of Abano Terme and Montegrotto Terme.

And for the lovers of good wine, the lands of Bassa Padovana offer their best fruits thanks to appreciated and recognized vine variety that have given life to two roads built on wine and food itinerary that represent some excellences in an international level. 

The Road of Wine of Euganean Hills (, between wood of chestnut and oak, leads to discover wineries, agritourisms and restaurants where you can taste the red wine Cabernet Sauvignon, the white wine Chardonnay and the fresh Serprino. But it’s Fior d’Arancio DOCG, his name comes from the inebriating smells of orange blossom, that has a precious position, and we can find it in the sparkling wine Fior d’Arancio version, passito Fior d’Arancio and the simple Fior d’Arancio, which identifies a calm wine with a dry or sweet taste.
